Thank you for your response and the start of a debate ! Tony Quart

When considering any AI and automation process, we are replacing a specific, repetitive task with a machine driven operation.

Self-driving cars are not meant to be 100% perfect and 100% safe; they are meant to be safer and cheaper than regular cars. They are also meant to change the ecosystem and the way we live from driving our car to work to getting a very cheap robot taxi that will drive someone else right after instead of staying the whole day in a parking lot.

As we may think we are safer when we handle things (I personally hate when people drive me), we really are not. Today we wonder how can we not drive a car and let robots do it. Maybe tomorrow we’ll wonder how could we possibly have let humans drive for so many years and cause so many accidents ?
